Trail... swimming?
Trail running is a dangerous sport, you may hurt yourself, blah blah blah... Seriously, though, you never know when you're going to break an ankle or meet one of the friendly big cats that live in the hills around here. So, we recommend that you don't try these new trails by yourself. If you have to run alone, carry a cell phone and let someone know in detail where you're going to be running and when you should be back.
We have made every effort for the runs listed on this page to be accurate and the directions to be detailed. However, we strongly recommend that you always bring along a trail map, and consult with a ranger or the official park web site for current trail conditions. We do not want to be responsible for trail runners (who are, of course, wonderful people) getting lost, injured, eaten, or otherwise mutilated in the woods.
That said, here are some great places to trail run (the nearest city is shown in parenthesis, although the nearest city isn't always that near). Check back often, as we will be making pages for each park...
